Sinead is a graduate of NCAD and, more recently of
the Craft Council's Pottery Skills Course in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.
She makes functional and decorative hand thrown pieces from her workshop
in Kerry and also works to commission.
"I make a range of thrown forms in white earthenware.
The shapes are often altered or distorted after throwing and additions
such as handles are applied. Surface treatments include a variety
of decorative techniques using brightly coloured slips and glazes.
The pieces are mostly functional, but are also intented to be fun
and playful items."
